As Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group, stated, investing in V-8s demonstrates a “real commitment to the powerplant” and a recognition of the unique preferences of the American consumer.

Unlike the E53 wagon, the CLE53 does not use a plug-in hybrid system.
The Mercedes-AMG CLE53 coupe already represents a significant step up in performance from the standard CLE models.
